AW900iTR -Pair

Picture
900 MHz Indoor Wireless Ethernet Radio
This product allows you to build non-line-of-sight, point-to-point (P-P) and point-to-multipoint (P-MP) wireless Ethernet connections that connect "fringe" IP devices, including IP access control readers, remote printers, remote PCs, VoIP phones, point-of-sale devices, digital signage or industrial control devices.

The AW900iTR radios include a built-in spectrum analyzer and they are IP addressable with web browser based remote configuration and diagnostic tools included.

AvaLAN’s products offer the ideal combination of price, range, data rate, security, interference avoidance, quality-of-service, and a simple plug and play set up with minimal user programming required.

With non line-of-site capabilities, these radios can easily penetrate indoors up to 1,500’ or through 10 building walls and supports industrial-grade temperature ranges. Advanced system configuration can include up to 12 access points – each on its own non-overlapping channel (up to 192 subscriber units across a given site with 16 active clients per access point). These products are an ideal replacement for modest data rate installations where 802.11 systems are under-performing or failing completely due to insufficient range or excessive interference.

AW900xTR-PAIR

900 MHz Outdoor Wireless Ethernet Radio
This robust and reliable product allows you to build a point-to-point (P-P) and point-to-multipoint (P-MP) wireless Ethernet connections that connect "fringe" IP devices, including IP access control readers, remote printers, remote PCs, VoIP phones, point-of-sale devices, digital signage or industrial control devices.

Two versions are available: a preconfigured matched pair point-to-point (P-P) Ethernet bridge — the AW900xTR-PAIR and a single radio — the AW900xTR, configurable as an access point or client in point-to-multipoint (P-MP) applications.

The AW900xTR radios include a built-in web browser interface for remote configuration, status monitoring and firmware update. This interface also provides a spectrum analyzer to help diagnose interference issues.

AvaLAN’s products offer a simple plug and play set up with minimal user programming required.

With non line-of-site capabilities, these radios can easily penetrate up to 1,500’ (450m) through trees or up to 40 miles (65 Kms) line-of-sight and supports industrial-grade temperature ranges. The system configuration can include up to 6 access points – each on its own non-overlapping channel (up to 96 subscriber units across a given site with 16 active clients per access point). These products are an ideal replacement for modest data rate installations where 802.11 systems are under-performing or failing completely due to insufficient range or excessive interference.

AW900xTP -Pair

Picture
900 MHz Outdoor Wireless Ethernet Panel
Our popular xTR series radio technology has been integrated with a high gain 12.5 dBi flat panel antenna. It provides a rugged, weatherproof and easily mounted combination package for those applications that can benefit from the increased range and decreased interference that a directional signal provides. The AW900xTP includes a built-in spectrum analyzer and is IP addressable with web browser based remote configuration and diagnostic tools included.

The AW900xTP allows you to build non-line-of-sight, point-to-point (P-P) or point-to-multipoint (P-MP) wireless Ethernet links that connect "fringe" IP devices, including IP access control readers, remote printers, remote PCs, VoIP phones, point-of-sale devices, digital signage or industrial control devices.
As these panels are directional a point-to-multipoint (P-MP) application will require an omnidirectional access point such as our AW900xTR in order to receive signals from AW900xTP clients dispersed at multiple angles.

These products are an ideal replacement for modest data rate installations where 802.11 systems are under-performing or failing completely due to insufficient range or excessive interference. AvaLAN’s products offer the ideal combination of price, range, data rate, security, interference avoidance, quality-of-service, and a simple plug and play set up with minimal user programming required.

The AW900xTP is also available as a pre-configured matched pair bridge. Order the AW900xTP-PAIR.

FIPS 140-2 High Security

Picture
900 MHz Outdoor Wireless Ethernet Radio
Government agencies and private industry such as health care, energy. financial. security all have a need to transfer sensitive data that is often required to be encrypted with a method that conforms to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Standard FIPS 140-2. AvaLAN Wireless has developed a hardware encryption module (AW140) that has been validated by CMVP (the Cryptographic Module Validation Program) to FIPS 140-2 Level 2.
We have packaged the module within our wireless Ethernet radios to provide you with a FIPS validated secure private network.
This robust and reliable product allows you to build non-line-of-sight, point-topoint (P-P) or point-to-multipoint (P-MP) wireless Ethernet links that connect “fringe” IP devices, including IP access control readers, surveillance cameras or industrial command and control devices. The rugged cast aluminum packages meet C1D2 specifications for hazardous locations as well as IP66 water and dust protection.
900 MHz operation allows superior penetration of obstacles such as walls and trees and can bridge as far as 40 miles (65KM) line-of-sight with optional Yagi antennas.
The radios include a built-in web browser interface for remote configuration, status monitoring and firmware update. This interface also provides a spectrum analyzer to help diagnose interference issues. Encryption keys are set through a completely different physical interface (USB) and cannot be seen or changed over the Ethernet data path.
For point-to-multipoint networks, one AW900S serves as the access point master supporting up to 16 more units serving as subscriber unit clients.
Because the AW900S supports up to 12 non-overlapping RF channels, multiple access point/ subscriber unit sets can be deployed in the same area.
For point-to-point bridging, order the AW900S-PAIR, already configured as a matched set.

AW900R2

Picture
900 MHz Outdoor Wireless RS-232 Bridge
Allows you to connect RS-232 devices wirelessly in situations where direct wired connections are too costly or have insufficient range, security or noise immunity. It provides direct plug-and-play replacement of an RS-232 cable, but without most of the limitations. Most cables used for RS-232 are limited to about 50 feet, (15M) with expensive low capacitance cable extending the range to perhaps 1000 feet (300M).
Our wireless link can travel up to 40 miles (65KM) line-of-sight and with excellent ability to penetrate walls and vegetation.

The radios automatically select the lowest interference RF channel, encrypt the data and seamlessly transmit it, looking just like a direct RS-232 cable to the rest of the system. Each radio in the pair is packaged in a rugged, weatherproof outdoor enclosure that is equally at home up in the factory ceiling or atop a power pole. They are pre-configured as a matched pair with common baud rate and encryption keys.

The configuration may be easily changed by plugging a laptop into each radio’s built in USB interface, uploading new configurations into their non-volatile memory, and putting the link back into service. The same USB interface can also display diagnostic information and provide easy firmware updating.

This technology is also available in an OEM module for integration into your own system. See the AvaLAN AW900R2-EVAL Evaluation Kit and the AW900R2-10 Module 10-Pak.

AvaLAN’s products offer a simple plug and play set up with minimal user programming required.

AW900-SPEC

Picture
900MHz Site SurveySpectrum Analyzer
Now you can take the mystery out of wireless technology through the use of a network addressable spectrum analyzer offered by AvaLAN Wireless.
Different from other spectrum analyzers, this new product offers a simple visual picture of what is in the RF environment.
Network addressability means that the spectrum analyzer can be installed at the customer’s site and logged into from your office. Having this product at the customer’s site can help to limit or minimize customer support and service calls, saving time and money.
What was previously a “mystery” is now solved with a quick glance to see if a particular frequency is being used or is polluted with other wireless traffic. The AW900-SPEC gives you spectrum analysis functionality and provides a sensitive site survey tool in a rugged, weatherproof enclosure. Fully web browser interfaced, this tool is a quick way to improve your installations and provide better service to your customers.
